SME Instrument Briefing in Valencia

On September 18th, we participated in a new briefing on the SME Instrument of the H2020, by the hand of IVACE. These days are part of the strategy of the Valencian Government of R&D&i Coordination, which aims to increase and improve the participation and knowhow of SMEs of the Valencia Region, in the framework of European Horizon 2020 Program.

On this occasion we contributed with our vision on how to prepare a winning proposal, too. We also enjoyed the welcome and introduction of the event by the institutions RED IT, CEEI Valencia and IVACE, as well as the presentations of Spanish National Contact Point CDTI and Valencian SMEs Quibim , Rotary Wave and ITENE. Alicante, next stop of the Info Day H2020 SME Instrument

The Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness (IVACE) values ​​very positively the good reception that the info day on the ‘SME Instrument’ has received , held in Alicante on 18th May.

During the meeting, Elvira Martín explained the evaluation process in detail, offering recommendations for the preparation of winning proposals. The paper’s focus has been on maximizing the chances of success to be a beneficiary of a European grant under the H2020 SME Instrument. For this, concrete successes’ examples and possibilities for improvement have been set out.

In addition, the event was attended by the Spanish Delegate of the SME Instrument (CDTI), Luis Guerra, who explained what this financing program consists of and detailed how the proposals should be submitted to obtain approval from the evaluators.

Finally, entities such as Rotary Wave, RDC and AIJU  Instituto Tecnológico de Producto Infantil y Ocio have been able to share their respective success stories with those attending the conference.

Seminar on SME Instrument under H2020 in Valencia region

On March 9th 2017, Elvira Martín, Partner of Energy for Business, participated as a speaker in the “The SME Instrument of H2020”, organized by the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness IVACE and held in Castellón de la Plana (Valencia region).

During the conference, Elvira Martín offered her vision as an expert on what the keys are for connecting with the evaluator from the beginning to the end of the proposal. The paper’s focus has been on maximizing the chances of success to be a beneficiary of an European grant under the H2020 SME Instrument, a program for any highly innovative small and medium-sized company that has the potential to grow and impact at either a European or international level.

During the day, several success stories have been presented, of SMEs benefiting from the SME Instrument of H2020, in any of its phases: Eyesynth, Biotica and Instituto de Tecnología Cerámica.

Also in the institutional block, the conference was also attended by Rafael Escamilla, responsible for European Programs of the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness (IVACE); Diego Basco, president of the European Center for Innovative Companies in Castellón; and Luis Guerra, maximum Spanish representative of the SME Instrument in the European Union (CDTI). All of them have offered their respective perspectives on how to obtain European funding under this program.
